OMAS EXTRA OGIVA 557/S - EF NIB - SUPERB WRITER

In 1948 Omas revised the design of all its models and introduced a line of piston fillers called Extra. These were available both with facetted and cylindrical design in three sizes: 555, 556 and 557.

Extra 557 models are nowadays very rare and desirable as, to a certain extent,  they equal in size modern pens, while the standard 556 size can be considered too small for large hands or for users accostumed to the big size of modern pens. 

This Omas Extra Ogiva 557 is a nice and substantial pen in  near mint condition ( probably unused) with very minimal signs of time.

The pen has a promotional engraving on the barrel (Navigazione Italiana).

The nib is a fantastic Omas Extra grade EF,  very responsive and flexible.  A real pleasure to use.

The length of the pen is 14 cm.
