OMAS EXTRA LEVER FILLER - FACETTED TORTOISE CELLULOIDE - WARTIME

Introduced in 1932, the Extra model was manufactured in wide range of colors and in three sizes, both with a cylindrical  and a facetted design. Early models were fitted with a greek key cap band which was later on replaced by three thin cap rings.

In wartime years, all the Extra models had a chrome finish and were fitted with Permanio nib, the special alloy patented by Omas to replace gold on its wartime models.

This Omas Extra in tortoise brown celluloid is a perfect example of wartime models. The Peramnio nib is very pleasant to use; it is smooth and very responsive.

The pen is a beautiful senior size in excellent condition.
