Introduced in the late 1940's the Omas Extra series was designed to be a real "work horse".

The line was soon reviewed to become 55X, with a slightly more slender design. Ogiva models were manufactured in black celluloid and in a limited variety of colors. Versions with  gold filled caps were marketed, too.

The Ogiva model was available in three sizes (which later became  555, 556 and 557) both in celluloid and with gold filled cap, to follow the  style of the world famous Parker 51. Models with gold filled cap exist both with screw and with slip on cap.

Although pretty  light, the Extra model  is really sturdy and very well balanced. It is a piston filler which is perfect for everyday use.

This set  is in excllent condition with a very deep imprint on the barrel.

The nib is F and it is extremely flexible.
