The 556/S is definitely one of thei most successful Omas models both for collectors and users. It is a light, versatile and absolutely reliable piston filler suitable for medium hands. This model, introduced in 1948, was manufactured in black, turtle brown and gray pearl celluloid.

Black 556/Ss are not extremely rare although they are becoming scarcer and scarcer on the market. Colourful versions, especially the extra rare tortoise brown, are much more difficult to find.

This Omas 556/s in gray pearl celluloid is in superb condition with no discolouration and a perfectly clean ink window. It is fitted with a very pleasant, highly performing Omas extra nib which writes like a dream.
