MONTBLANC OCTAVIAN 4810 PATRON OF ART - COMPLETE PACKAGING

In 1993 Montblanc dedicated this precious pen to the Roman Emperor Octavian Augustus who was able to guarantee peace and flourishing of culture in Rome after decades of war.

Augustus implemented balanced strategies and political relations to strengthen its position and spurred  Rome's   cultural development as a testimony of his power. In this sense he sort of wove a strategic network of relations in the same way as a spider weaves its web to survive.

The image of the spider is part of Montblanc's heritage as it was used in the 1920's to embellish safety pens;  the Octavian limited edition thus becomes a kind of bridge between past and present.

This pen is unused and comes with its complete packaging. The outer box shows some wear on the corners but there are no damages.

The pen is stickered. Nib grade is M.
