In 1948 Montblanc restyled its Meisterstuck  models and introduced the 14X line of pens.

Initially only sizes 142, 144 and 146 in black celluloid were produced. The big 149 was introduced in 1952.

Later on Montblanc flanked the line of   Meisterstuck pens in black celluloid with a beautiful striped celluloid in two different shades of green and in striped  gray.

Striped celluloids were used for all the sizes with the exception of 149 which kept on being manufactured in black only.

Early feeders on these models were flat with two back channels. Later feeders have a bumped feeder and a different design.

This Montblanc 144 in black celluloid  has a bumped feeder; it is in excellent condition and has a very pleasant BB nib.
