Introduced in the 1990s, the Generation line represents an interesting chapter in the history of modern Montblanc everyday writers.

After the fall of the Berlin Wall, the end of the Cold War, the fastest-ever development of science and technology and  the world heading towards the 21st Century, Montblanc decided to introduce a line of colourful writing instruments which were meant to express the spirit of the time and suit the taste of the younger generations.

The company who had always stuck to black with only some limited concessions to burgundy, decided to offer a line of  lively lacquered ballpoint, fountain pens and rollerballs in purple, orange, green turquoise, blue and obviously black.

The Generation line of writing instruments is light in the hand, with a very simple and elegant finish: fountain  pens are fitted with a 18 ct gold triangular-shaped nib which is reminiscent of the nib Montblanc had used for the Slim line of the 70s.

Nowadays Montblanc Generation pens have become highly collectible, with some colors being rarer than others.

This Generation ballpoint in orange lacquer is unused and in pristine condition.It comes with its complete packaging.
