MONTBLANC 149 SILVER RING - EF NIB - VERY FLEXIBLE

Ever since its introduction in 1952 the Montblanc 149 Silver Ring has become a status symbol in the world of writing instruments. It is the biggest model of the 14X line and the only one which was  manufactured in black celluloid only.

Vintage 149 Silver rings are grail pens for today's collectors not only for their historical meaning but also because they are superb writers with high quality nibs.

This Montblanc 149 is an early model with short ink window and it is fitted with a fantastic EF nib which is extremely flexible. The pen is offered in a beautiful Montblanc box which seems to be typical of the Italian market (I have found these boxes in Italy only).

The pen is excellent condition and ready to be used. The only "flaw" is a minimal shrinkage of the cap which slightly touches the treads when opening and closing the pen. It is minimal and totally invisible and doe not affect the functioning or usage of the pen.

I preferred to leave it as found in order not to run the risk of damaging the cap lip.
