MINERVA ELLITTICA SR SIZE - WILD CELLULOID

In the early 1930s Omas introduced the line of Minerva celluloid pens to diversify its production range and offer a wider selection of models.

Minerva pens were manufactured in a variety of colors and in various models, starting from ebonite safety pens, button fillers and lever fillers, to get to more elaborate models such as the Classica and the Ellittica and then piston fillers, which remained in production well into the 1940s.

This large Minerva lever filler belongs to the Ellittica series and represents a fantastic example of wartime production, with chrome-coloured  finish and steel nib, stamped 1941.

The Ellittica was manufactured in three sizes and two differente versions, a simpler one, like tis one, with only one plain cap band and a more elaborate  one with extra decorative rings on the cap top, blind cap and barrel.

This Minerva Elliptica is in superb condition, with no traces of discoloration.

Length is 14 cm and the beautiful nib is smooth and flexible.
