MILORD SPECIAL EDITION FOR OMAS' ARMANDO SIMONI INTERNATIONAL COLLECTORS' CLUB

In 1991 Omas created a collectors’ Club dedicated to its founder Armando Simoni. The club was named Armando Simoni International Fountain Pen Club and was meant to support the development of pen knowledge and create opportunities for members to meet and communicate. The club also published a quarterly magazine which was reserved to members only. Members had in addition the opportunity to buy the special club pen which was manufactured every year in a limited number of pieces. Club pens were not available in shops and the only way to have them was to be a member.

Omas used both Ogivas (in the 556 size ) and Milord pens for these special and exclusive productions. Different colors and unusual finishes were used every year to distinguish these models from standard production.

Each pen was numbered and the number corresponded to the member’s membership card, thus being absolutely personal.

This milky white Milord with guilloché pattern of decoration is one of the special editions, Omas manufactured for the Club. The pen is unused and it comes wit the typical dark orange Club's box. Nib grade is M.

The look recalls very closely the Omas Bibliotheque Nationale special edition  which was manufactured in the same years. The main difference in the wavy guilloché decoration of this beautiful pen.
