In their Early years, The king manufactured safety pens and lever fillers using black ebonite. These pens were fitted with beautiful 14 ct nibs, most of which are flexible and very pleasant to use.

One of the most typical features of these early pens is the chequered decoration of the ebonite, which differs from the most common waves or lines we generally find on ebonite pens of this era.

This very early The King pen is in excellent condition and only shows some traces of oxidisation on the lever. The imprint on the barrel is very deep and fresh.

The nib is very flexible.
