DELTA EXTREMA - CARBON FIBER AND TITANIUM
In 1994 the G7 summit took place in Naples and Delta was commissioned with the production of a special limited edition to celebrate the event end to be given as a gift to the personalities who took part at the summit.
Delta developed a special edition composed of three pens one of which derived from the famous Extrema fountain pen made in carbon fibre. The Extrema was the first fountain pen ever to be manufactured in such a complicated material and dates back to 1992. The following year Dunhill manufactured its AD 2000 model in carbon fibre which is probably much more famous nowadays than Delta's pen, but the record for the first fountain pen in carbon fibre ever, remains as one of Delta's most remarkable accomplishments.
The Extrema is manufactured in carbon fibre and titanium. Its design is very simple and the pen is very light in the hand.
The 1994 limited edition, part of the G7 set, is identical to the Extrema with the only difference being the screws which hold the clip which are made of solid gold in the limited edition and in titanium in the Extrema line.
The nib is 18 K gold, grade F.
