CIRENE safety pen with liberty overlay . 1920's

Very little is known about Cirene pens. 

This brand is mostly found on pens with precious/semi precious overlays which very often have high quality and refined patterns of decorations. Cirene pens with toledo/damascene overlay are known, too.

The style of the overlays suggests a production activity going from the 1920's to the 1930s.

This Cirene safety pen has a very beautiful decoration with filigree bands and floral cap top.

The nib is marked Rover and it has a very generous B grade.
