In 2001, when Italy entered the Euro monetary system, Aurora dedicated a special model to the Italian currency Lira, which was going to disappear that year.

The limited edition was developed using the Optima model with sterling silver cap with the addition on the cap top of a gold plated Lira coniage, which represents the  Lira coin with the cornucopia, introduced in Italy in 1951.

The serial number is engraved on the back of the cap and it is limited to 975 pieces.

This Aurora Ultima Lira is pre-owned but in excellent condition with no damages and no signs of wear. The cap and the barrel are  clean without dings nor scratches.

The nib is 18 ct gold, grade M.
