AURORA OPTIMA OLD STYLE SET WITH BALL PEN - NEW OLD STOCK

In the early 1990s Aurora introduced  the Optima model, a modern interpretation of its historical Optima model of the 1930s . The modern Optima  was designed to be a sturdy, well balanced pen decorated with a greek key band derived form its ancient predecessor.

The pen was manufactured in a special resin called Auroloid which unfortunately turned out to be very unstable. Very early Optima models experienced lots of problems due mainly to deformation of the cap. The formula of the material was soon  reviewed and new colors were added in amore stable and definitely reliable material.

This Aurora Optima set belongs to the second production and it is manufactured in a bright coloured marbled blue Auroloid resin.

The model  has  remained  in production till our times with small variations in the decoration of the cap band (which now has a thin black greek key decoration on the cap band with the word Aurora in the middle) and the addition of new colors.

The set is unused and it is in pristine condition, coming from a closed shop. Both the fountain pen and the ball pen have their own box.
