WAHL ALL METAL "RIPPLE " DESIGN RING TOP - EF NIB

Wahl All Metal pens were introduced in 1921 and they represented a great innovation on the scenario of pens with metal bodies as their construction was the result of Wahl's year-long experience in the production of mechanical pencils. These models in fact do no have an inner ebonite body below the metal. They are all metal, thus offering a larger housing room for the ink sac.

What makes this line of pens extremely interesting and highly collectable is first of all the quality of their construction and the fascinating variety of patterns of decoration Wahl developed for them. Beyond the many guilloche patterns, a number of more elaborate and rare special decorations were developed which represent today a very refined collector's niche with rocketing prices.

This Wahl ringtop shows the pattern of decoration named Ripple and it is in excellent condition. The entire body and cap of the pen are decorated with tiny lines which combine into a geometric pattern which gives the pen a special texture and good level of light reflection.

The pen has no dings non marks and it is fitted with a very pleasant EF flexible nib.
