RARE WAHL EVERSHARP DORIC OVERSIZE BURMA - ADJUSTABLE NIB NR. 10
Introduced in 1931, the Doric is one of the most iconic models in the history of fountain pens. It was the first facetted model ever seen on the market and it was shaped to recall the Doric columns of Greek temples.
In 1932, the model was further enriched with the addition of the Adjustable nib, invented by Robert Black. The nib features a slider over the upper side, whose movement changes the flexibility of the nib offering 9 different positions, from flexible to rigid. The adjustable nib was said to entail "Nine points in one".
This first generation Oversize Doric pen in Pearl Burma celluloid sports a Nr 10 nib, the biggest adjustable nib ever manufactured and it is in excellent condition. The slide on the nib works perfectly and you can have a very pleasant writing experience going from very rigid to very flexible options.
A real museum piece!
