AURORA DANTE ALIGHIERI LIMITED EDITION - NO BOX
Issued in 1995, the Dante Alighieri limited edition celebrates the author of the Divine Comedy which is widely regarded as one of humanity’s greatest works, marking the passage from the Middle Ages to the Renaissance. Dante's work had a tremendous impact in shaping the modern Italian language.
Before Dante, in fact, major literature had been written almost exclusively in Latin, while Dante boldly composed his epic using the Tuscan vernacular. The poem’s extraordinary popularity helped establish Tuscan as the basis for standard Italian, earning Dante the title “father of the Italian language.”
Aurora pays homage to Dante with a decoration of vermeil laurel leaves on the cap and barrel of the pen while the face of the "Divine Poet" is reproduced on the cap top.
This limited edition was manufactured in 1919 pieces (1919 is Aurora's date of foundation).
