WATERMAN 0552 HAND ENGRAVED PANSY PANEL - EF FLEXIBLE NIB

In the 1920s Waterman enlarged its offer of fountain pens marketing gold filled, sterling silver and solid gold overlays for most of its ebonite models. The patterns of decoration varied in time going from Art Nouveau to Art Deco with the addition of special, more sophisticated overlays which were offered for a very limited span of time or only is specific countries such as Italy and France..

This Waterman 0552 shows a beautiful hand etched Pansy panel motif in superb condition, The overlay is flawless with no traces of brassing nor dings.

The nib is a very pleasant Extra Fine Nr.  2 with a pleasant degree of flexibility.
