AURORA OPTIMA COMMEMORATIVA CONFINDUSTRIA - MODELLO ULTIMA LIRA

In 2001, when Italy entered the Euro monetary system, Aurora dedicated a special model to the Italian currency Lira, which was going to disappear that year. The model was an Optima with black barrel and solid silver cap.The cap top was decorated with a gold plated Lira coniage which represented the Lira coin with the cornucopia which had been introduced in 1951.
The model was sold as a limited edition but then Aurora used it to manufacture a few special editions on commission. One of these is this model which shows the symbol of Confindustria ( Italian Industrial Association) on the top of the cap instead of the Lira. The model is exactly identical to the limited edition but it sports a different nib, smooth without decorations.
The pen is pre-owned but it has never been used.
Nib grade is M.
It's a very rare and desirable special edition.
