WATERMAN 52 CARDINAL RED - GREAT COLOR - NICE FLEXY NIB

Waterman manufactured its early lever fillers in black ebonite and then in the 1920's the range of colors was enlarged with the addition of mottled, ripple and cardinal red ebonite.

Colorful ripple ebonites (olive, rose and blue ripple) were added after 1925 and were mainly used for the 94 series.

Cardinal red ebonite is undoubtedly one of the most fascinating colors.

This Waterman 52 is in great condition with  very minimal traces of time. There is no difference in color between cap and barrel, inscriptions are deep and not worn out, metal trims do not show traces of brassing and the red feeder is nor darkened nor stained.

The nib is smooth with a pleasant flexibility. Grade is a generous F on the M side.
