TABO S PISTON FILLER - ARCO RED CELLULOID
Tabo pens were manufactured in Bologna, one of the most prolific cities in Italy in the 1920s/1940s for the production of high quality fountain pens. The Company started its activity relatively late and gained a remarkable commercial success in the late 1930s/early 1940s with the Trasparente model, a beautiful high quality pen inspired by Parker Vacumatic which was offered in a wide variety of laminated and marbled celluloids in three sizes with beautiful spearheaded nibs.
In the late 1940s and early 1950s Tabo manufactured students models, too in various sizes, using celluloid till the mid/late 1950s. The lines "S" and "V" were offered respectively with hooded nib and with spearheaded nib.
The theory is that "S" models should have hooded nibs, but this pen is a Tabo "S" and has a spearheaded nib. The pen is manufactured in red arco celluloid and it is in perfect condition.
The nib is smooth, flexible and springy. It is very pleasant to use,.
The pen is a medium size suitable for a feminine hand.
