Pelikan's Sahara special edition was introduced in 2007. It comprised three writing modes: fountain pen, rollerball and ball pen. The fountain pen is an M640 fitted with a18 ct gold nib.

The Sahara is a very tactile and emotional model which evocates the colors and pattern of the desert. The refined guillochè decoration on the metal barrel  replicates the sand waves while the warm color contrast between the gold-toned barrel and the light creamy resin parts reminds of  the varying intensity of light.

This rollerball is unused and comes with its original packaging which is a nice orange box with a fabric internal lining.
