OMAS MILORD GRAY TRANSPARENT ACRYLIC - MADE ON COMMISSION

Cataloguing Omas models sometimes looks like an impossible task. Beyond standard models and limited editions which are included in catalogues, there is a huge number of special editions and productions on commission, which were never listed in catalogues.
Omas manufactured models on commission for companies, events, celebrations, pen shops and so on. On top of this, there were small productions which could be commissioned in a very limited number of pieces about which we know very little or nothing at all. Then there are prototypes which never made to production...
This pen is one of these mysterious products. It comes from a collection in Rome and I was told that the owner of this pen was in very good terms with Mr. Malaguti, who once gave him this pen as a present.
Nothing strange with that. The only strange thing is the material and the date engraved on the cap, which makes reference to the day Malaguti and this collector met.
My perception is that this pen is part of a group of experimental Milords manufactured in colorful, transparent acrylic which then were never included in production. It would be interesting to discover if there are other Milords of this type maybe in a different color, somewhere in collections.
The pen is unused and it is fitted with a 18 ct gold nib, grade M.
