The Montblanc Sketch pencil (Leonardo) was introduced in 2002 and remained in production till 2015.

The first edition of this pencil was offered with the simple name "Sketch" pencil and a simple Montblanc box. The pencil featured a small flat section on one side which was meant both to prevent the pencil from rolling off the table and house initials for personal customisation.

Later version of the Sketch pencil were named Leonardo and had a different  and more elaborate packaging. The flat section was done away with and the Leonardo Sketch pencil became perfectly round.

This Montblanc Sketch pencil is part of the early production and is offered with its original early packaging. The pen is unused and works properly. It is however necessary to help a bit the point of the lead to make it start advancing.
