Montblanc’s history in Denmark was analysed in the beautiful book "Montblanc in Danemark - 1914-1992- The Untold Story" by  Claus Holten  and Paul Lund. 

Everything began with Alfred Øberg who represented Montblanc in Denmark in the 1920s, and from 1939 through the mid-1960s. His company  was granted permission to produce Montblanc pens specifically for the Danish market provided these pens featured designs that differed from those manufactured in Germany.

Danish Montblanc pens are particularly attractive to collectors because of their unusual colors, materials, and geometric styling. They are more "lively" than their German counterparts and represent nowadays a field of collecting which is extremely interesting and fascinating.

The model Nr. 25 was produced in Germany during the 1920s and 1930s as part of the Meisterstück line. The Danish version of the nr. 25 was introduced in 1939 and remained in production  till 1943 c.ca. It represented the top of the range of the Danish lines of the time: it was a premium model, distinguished by its elaborate construction and decorative design. Although it did not bear the Meisterstück name, the Danish twelve-sided No. 25 occupied a similar position in the range.

The danish nr. 25 differs remarkably from the German model and was manufactured both with long cap top and short cap top. The long cap-model was available in three colors: green marbled, brown marbled and black.

This green marbled Nr.25 is in excellent condition with a very vibrant color and a beautiful EF Nr. 25 nib.

An extremely rare and desirable pen for any serious Montblanc collector.
