In the 1986, Sheaffer introduced the Connoisseur line, whose design replicated the style of the vintage Sheaffer lifetime models. The first models were manufactured in England. Later models were named Grand Connoisseur and were marketed in 4 different finishes: tortoise lacquer, black lacquer, gold plated and sterling silver.
