The 52 has been for Waterman one of the most successful models, thanks  to its proper size and balance which make it perfectly suitable for medium and small hands and to the good price/quality ratio. 

The 52 has been developed  in a wide range of variations, using colorful ebonite, solid gold, solid silver and gold filled overlays with a number of designs.

The  model was offered  in various sizes, too. The 1/2 size is slimmer and more feminine than the standard size, while the V size is shorter. Models 52 1/2 V are thinner and shorter, thus more suitable for feminine of young hands.

This Waterman 0552 1/2 has a rolled gold overlay with the basketweave design. The pen is in superb condition with very minimal traces of use. The cartouche is clean and there are no personalized engravings anywhere.

The pen is fitted with a very pleasant Waterman nr. 2  stub nib which writes beautifully.
