OMAS EXTRA LUCENS MEDIUM SIZE - FANTASTIC NIB
The Extra Lucens model was introduced in 1939. It was the natural derivation of the Lucens model introduced in 1936. The transparency of the barrel was dramatically enhanced with the facetted design and the Extra Lucens soon became the top Omas model.
The nib used for this model was a beautiful two-tone 14 ct Extra Lucens with a drop-shaped vent hole. The nib was offered in a large number of tips but the most common nowadays are EF, F, and M. B or even BB are extremely rare in the Italian scenario. Later nibs were offered in yellow gold.
One of the most striking aspects of most Omas nibs is that they can write on both sides and this nib is a beautiful example of this peculiar feature.
This Omas Extra Lucens is a medium size in excellent condition. The nib on this pen is very flexible on the front side and rigid on the back side, with an EF line.
