The Optima is one of the most successful Aurora models, thanks to its sturdy and well balanced design which makes it suitable for any hand.

The modern Optima was introduced in the late 1980s and used in various colors and finishes to offer a number of special and limited editions beyond the standard everyday collection. It was covered  with precious metal overlays for instance for the Colombo, the Goldoni and the Riflessi  and it was dressed in shiny marbleised colors with the Sole, Mare and Primavera limited editions and many others.

This Aurora with sterling silver cap and black barrel is part of the Gioiello Collection. The pen is pre owned but in perfect working order. It is fitted with a 18 ct gold nibs grade B (pretty rare in the Aurora scenario). The cap has no damages but there is a tiny tiny spot on the clip where the gold plated coating is chipped.
