WATERMAN 52 BLACK CHASED EBONITE - VERY FLEXIBLE F NIB

The 5X line is definitely the most successful Waterman series of pens ever produced. It was introduced in the early 1920 and remained in production for less than 10 years  with a huge number of pieces manufactured and marketed. The entire line, going from 51 to 58 (51 is the only odd number of the line which is otherwise based on even numbers: 52, 54, 54, 58) was produced not only in the USA but also in France and the UK, where the various models were characterized by specific features. British Waterman pens often sport metal trims in solid 9 ct gold on the cap and/or the barrel, while French Waterman often have chrome colored cap bands, clips and levers.

This is a plain Waterman 52 without cap band, typical of the American market. The pen is in excellent condition and is fitted with a very flexible F nib. A real pleasure to use!
